"There's a new evangelising zeal abroad"

"We are seeing an awakening in the proclamation of the gospel in Spain; it seems as if there were a new evangelistic zeal, for which we give thanks to God."
Dear brothers and sisters in prayer, may these words from José Seisdedos of Every Home Crusade come as an inspiration for us in this month of June. The summer is beginning and with it many evangelistic activities will take place across the length and breadth of Spain. With the strength given us by the Comforter, let us pray all the more during this period. To start with we present you two requests from The Minutes which Change the World from Spain's Every Home Crusade branch.

1. "Let us pray for the distribution of literature house to house, which many churches are undertaking. During 2004, with the colaboration of 83 churches, 148 thousand families received the message of the gospel. Pray for the seed which has been sown, that it find fertile soil and bear fruit a hundred fold."
2. "Pray that this evangelistic zeal in God's people be maintained and grow." Amen!

§ FESTIMADRID

This is the final straight for the organisers. The event will take place outside the Las Ventas Bull Ring

1. Give thanks for the permissions and for all the united prayer and testimony (including the demonstration of 600 believers in front of the city hall) which made it possible to get them from the Mayor.
2. Workers are needed to distribute invitations in each letter box in the city, 11th and 12th - also for phone calls.
3. Spritual Authority is needed as prayer walks cover strategic points of the city, 3rd, 10th and the '7 days of Jericho' from the 12th to 18th.
4. Pray, also for the activities of speciall commissions: women, children, counsellors
5. For a great harvest of souls through Operation Andrew (prayer for friends and inviting them)
6. For the Lord's presence and working in the women's 'tea' and the dinner for businessmen with Luis Palau.
7. For the mobilisation of all God's people in Madrid for this event.

§ United Churches' Campaign on the Costa Blanca, Alicante.* May 4th to June 17th. Pray that the work of these 14 churches, who have united for a series of evangelistic events, may be blessed and bring many to new life. (Ps 133)

§ OM Mini Campaigns. Give thanks for the ministry of OM in western Spain and for the church teams coming from the USA to help. This month: Talavera de la Reina, 6th to 12th. Pray for the Lord's blessing on this ministry. http://www.usa.om.org/Spain04/MainMenu.htm Also pray for the British team coming in July (15th to 28th) to arenas de San Pedro and another US team coming to Coria.

§ Pocket Testament League Esther Rodriguez's team heads up the Evangelical Olympics for kids in Galicia this month... a region which also has an important regional election coming up. § Valencia: The El Salvador Baptist Church is on the street once a month on Sunday morning. This month it's on the 12th.
The Malvarrosa Brethren Assembly asks: "Pray that the Lord give us vision and courage, so that we can take His Word to our neighbourhood." This is the district close to the port and beach.

§ King's Kids have summer outreaches, including discipleship training, with mime teams. In Spain they will be in Malaga and granada, but Spaniards will also join a team to Wales. http:// www.la-lanzadera.com

§ Gabino Fernández-CER-Don Quijote: Pray for all the activities of this evangelical historian, who is taking advantage of the 400th anniversary of Don Quijote to put on evangelistic exhibitions of Spanish literature of the era (especially the Reina Valera Bible). These have a great impact on the many hundreds who visit, including many in positions of authority. http://www.protestantes.net

§ Mola, on the Levante Coast. (30th June to 25th July): Pray for the teams of young people who come together to learn and evangelise with the local churches.

§ Operation Transit (all summer): Don't stop praying for this important ministry:

1. Continue praying for good receptivity; for the participants for the summer, that they keep enthusiastic in their work.
2. For more recruits - hundreds more are still needed, including team leaders, for the 3 months that the outreach continues; also for long-term workers. Could you be on eof them? Is the Lord calling your youth group to join in... this year of next? Could you or your church contribute financially?
3. Pray for the Arabic speaking evangelists, for their visas and finances.
4. For the over 50,000 DVDs of the Jesus film and for finance and the work to make it available in a more colloquial dialect.
5. For the follow up work. The Harvest is ready!

Radio & Television:

TV and radio stations are very useful tools in evangelisation. Pray for the Media and the use the churches make of the opportunities.

LET'S PRAY: May our feet be like yours, beloved Master: untiring, all-suffering; firm and well shod; feet, which at the end of the race will be worn out; but how beautiful are your feet! Make our feet like yours, Master: "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring Good News!" Beloved Master, place in our heart the fire burning in yours, when the zeal for your father's house consumed you. May al be filled with your consuming, purifying fire. May we be baptised with the baptism you came to bring, a baptism of fire in the Holy Spirit. Some feet rush to shed blood. But ours Lord, make them fit to deliver the gospel of peace. May nothing distract us or bring us fear or detain us. May we walk in your steps, Divine Master. In prayer and faith today we prepare our feet for the propagation of your wonderful gospel, gospel of peace for our beloved nation. Amen.
