Motor: Dakar: Marc Coma led bikes to penultimate leg when accident forced him out, follower up Isidre also broke down close by, but Carlos Sainz fought back in cars after losing lead mid-way - 9th overall. Monte Carlo: Dani Sordo 2nd. F1: Alonso presented McLaren car on 15th in Valencia.
Tennis Melbourne: Nadal beaten in 1/4 final. Sydney Moyà reaches (but loses) final; Ferrer beat Robredo in Auckland final.
Basketball Madrid leads ACB league from Tau, after 18th round.
