Evangelical's cyclist husband found murdered

[Image 12???]21 September. The body of cyclist Francisco Quintana Calvo, disappeared since Thursday, 15th Sept., was found Tuesday 20th burnt close to Madrid and has now been identified. It is mooted that he was involved in an accident with a motorist, who decided to burn the evidence, or related to a gang which has robbed cyclists of their bikes in the area recently.

Quintana's wife is a member of the First Baptist church (General Lacy st.). They have a 6 year old daughter and she just discovered she is pregnant again. The church is devastated by the loss. P4S is sorry that the first news from PD gave us to understand that Quintana was a member of the church. It now appears that he had attended on number of occasions, but never made a profession of faith.

He was given the bike, worth some 500€ in the summer and had been out about five times. After he did not return home when expected, a major police operation involving dog teams and helicopters was launched, but it was only on Tuesday when the charred remains of the body were found. Police are searching further for any evidence which may lead to a conviction.
