National radio programme gets goahead The national station Radio Nacional de España has just awarded the evangelicals, jews and muslims a shared programme on Sunday mornings from 17th September. Called Faith and living together, each of the faith groups will have a slot in the Sunday morning schedule, starting at 6.00 a.m. The evangelical slot, of 15 minutes will be called Protestant World.

The agreement was made on 20th July at a meeting of the directors of the equivalent TV programmes and the management of the radio station. The agreement came as a result of pressure from the evangelical federation, FEREDE, which brought about an initial interview in May. In this way, the religious monopoly of Roman Catholicism on the public service station comes to an end. FEREDE will continue to press the state for an end to the Catholic monopoly on ownership of radio stations as such.

The 2nd National Leadership Congress will take place on 11th to 13th October with guest speaker Paul Yonggi Cho. Cho will be in Las Palmas at a crusade with the Korean church on the 11th and join the Congress for the 12th and 13th. !2th October is Spain's national day. The first Congress took place in 2004 and guest speaker was David Wilkerson. AoG.

Madrid churches celebrate Arts festival Under the name Bo-art, this took place in Boadilla del Monte 29th June to 9th July. More in English from this site.

Meanwhile in Córdoba there was a Macro-evangelistic-Concert 30th June to 1st July

With schools out for 2 1/2 months, many churches and inter-church groups are organsing Summer Camps for the children.

A united campaign is being run by churches in Barbanza, Galicia 9th to 15th July.

A campaign was run by anti-clerical groups in Valencia against the visit of Pope Benedict on 8th to 9th July. The authorities, led by the conservative Partido Popular, allowed the city to be brought to a standstill for the event and spent much public money to enable it to go smoothly. Evangelicals look on in amazement!
